Elk Grove Police arrested a Sacramento man last night after he was found to be in possession of property from a burglarized home.


According to police reports, officers responded to the 6000 block of Rimini Court after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. The reporting person indicated that there were two individuals inside a vacant residence and one person was waiting outside in a vehicle.

Officers arrived and located the described vehicle leaving the area and conducted an enforcement stop and contacted the driver, 31-year old Gilbert Ramirez and the two male juvenile passengers, both 16 years of age. Officers determined that the residence on Rimini Court had been burglarized and property taken from the residence was located inside the vehicle Ramirez was driving.

Ramirez was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit a felony, contributing to the delinquency of a minor then transported to the county jail where he remains in custody on $70,000 bail. The two juveniles were taken into custody for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a felony then transported to juvenile hall.
