I think some of you need to wake up. This happens in Folsom, Roseville, and El Dorado Hills. Not just in Elk Grove.

Bob...yes crime is everywhere...however I think the previous comments suggest the increased rate of crime here in elk grove is at levels higher than the areas you mentioned whether real or perceived elk grove residents are bothered by it. It is interesting a couple of our leaders don't want light rail here because of the increased crime it brings...Folsom has benefited from light rail; early and evening the downtown state/government employees can ride and don't have to pay the downtown parking; Events in old town Folom bring people by light rail and this had decreased the number of DUI's..during the Beer Festival...most of the "crime" brought by light rail occurs at long term parking because cars are left for the day making them targets. No ones going to rob one of the outlet stores and leave by light rail...picture that one..
I have noticed more gang graffiti here than in the past....it is being left up to long.
