Three teens visiting Elk Grove from Madera ended their visit with a stay in juvenile hall after they were arrested early yesterday afternoon.
According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to the 5800 block of Laguna Oaks after receiving a call that three teenaged males were seen in the backyard of a residence. When the officers confronted the suspects, they jumped the fence and ran away.
Officers arrived and located the residence that had been burglarized and began searching the area for the suspects. An officer located the suspects at Laguna Park Drive and Red Dog Creek Way and when contacted, a 17-year old suspect fled on foot and officers were able to detain a 15-year old and 17-year old suspects.
A perimeter was established and officers began searching for the third suspect, a 17 year-old was located and detained after he exited the attic inside a residence in the 5600 block of Laguna Quail Way. The three suspects were visiting this location.
Property taken from the residential burglary was found inside a recycle container that was located in the rear of the residence where the suspect who fled was taken into custody. All three suspects were processed and taken to juvenile hall.

This is getting out of control in this city! Too many burglary/ robberies in this city! People better lock their doors and lookout for their neighbors. I was fortunate enough to get a plate number of some punks that wanted to rob my neighbor. 2 weeks later, neighbors got their stuff back! Sad part, I have that car a few times since in the area?! Not good!
