Elk Grove Police Apprehend Fleeing Wal Mart Shoplifting Suspects

Elk Grove Police officers were able to apprehend two suspected Wal Mart shoplifters after making their attempted get-away in a car late last night.

According to Elk Grove Police, 26-year old Jose Cruz Castenada of Elk Grove and a 17-year old Sacramento female exited the Elk Grove Blvd. store without paying for merchandise they had concealed. Store employees provided a description of the vehicle to police who were able to locate it and initiate an enforcement stop.

Both were arrested with the female juvenile suspect taken to juvenile hall and Castenada was booked into the county jail where he remains in custody of $20,000 bail.
