Elk Grove Police Thwart In-Progress Burglary, One Suspect Escapes

A Rancho Cordova man was arrested yesterday afternoon after he allegedly burglarized an Elk Grove residence.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to the 7600 block of Brabham Way after a witness saw two people fleeing a home following a reported burglary. Responding officers were able to detain 19-year old Cedric Marcel Antwine but unable to locate a second unknown suspect.

Witnesses positively identified Antwine who was arrested and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody on $90,000 bail for burglary, resisting arrest and probation violations.
