After following leads that led them to an Elk Grove high school, Elk Grove Police arrested three male juveniles early yesterday afternoon on suspicion of a home burglary.

According to police reports, officers responded to a residential burglary on the 6200 block of Laguna Way and based on descriptions from a witness, police contacted an unnamed Elk Grove high school and were able to develop leads. Police contacted a 15-year old suspect at his residence and located property reported stolen from the residence.

The 14-year old second suspect was located at a nearby shopping center and was also found in possession of stolen property. The 15-year old third suspect was contacted and found to be in possession of marijuana and determined he and the 14-year old had been involved in a second residential burglary.

All three were taken into custody and transferred to juvenile hall.
