Elk Grove to Hold Annual Veterans Day Parade This Monday

Elk Grove will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade on Monday, November 11. The parade will start shortly after 11 a.m.

This year's parade will start at the Cosumnes Community Services District administration offices at Williamson Drive and Elk Grove Blvd., travel east towards Elk Grove-Florin and south to the Elk Grove Regional Park.

Elk Grove Police have advised of the following street closures.

Elk Grove Florin Road between Elk Grove Blvd. and the north/east entrance to Elk Grove Park will be closed to all traffic in both directions.

Eastbound traffic on Elk Grove Blvd. approaching Williamson Drive will be diverted onto northbound Williamson Drive or back onto westbound Elk Grove Blvd. The detour will take motorists to Elk Grove Florin Road.

Traffic southbound on Elk Grove Florin Road approaching Elk Grove Blvd. will be diverted onto eastbound Elk Grove Blvd. Traffic westbound on Elk Grove Blvd approaching Elk Grove Florin Road will be diverted onto northbound Elk Grove-Florin Road.

All streets and retail center driveways on Elk Grove-Florin Road between the northeast Elk Grove Park entrance and Elk Grove Blvd. will be closed with cones.

All traffic on eastbound Valley Oak Lane approaching Elk Grove Florin Road will be diverted back onto westbound Valley Oak Lane.

All northbound traffic on Elk Grove Florin Road approaching the northeast Elk Grove Park entrance will be diverted back onto southbound Elk Grove Florin Road.
