For four Elk Grove City Council members, their April 15 with regards to campaign financing is quickly approaching.

As part of California State law, all office holders have until this Friday to file so-called Form 460 semi-annual disclosures for campaign contributions. As of this afternoon, only one city council member, Steve Detrick, has filed for the six months ending December 31, 2013.

Expected to file by this Friday are Mayor Gary Davis, Vice Mayor Jim Cooper and council members Pat Hume and Bob Trigg. According to the California Fair Practices Commission, the forms must be filed or postmarked by this Friday, January 31.

Although all five council members must file, it is expected that Cooper, who is running for the State Assembly will have little or no contributions for his Elk Grove report. In Cooper's most recent disclosure filed with the California Secretary of State for his assembly run, as of June 30, 2013 he received $52,832 in contributions for the first six months of last year.

Thanks for the heads-up Dan. We look forward to reading them to see what future projects will be approved.

Actually Trigg won't have to file a form 460, since he filed a form 470 last year indicating that he would not be bringing in even $1,000, the minimum threshold required to be obligated to start filing 460 reports

Thanks you Andres for the clarification. Yes, Trigg filed a Form 470 last year, so unless he has decided to accept donations, he will file a 470.
