A wanted Sacramento man tried evading arrest last night after being seen by a police officer in Elk Grove.

According to Elk Grove Police, a patrol officer saw 18-year old Michael Riddlesperger on the 9300 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road and was known to have an active felony warrant out for his arrest. After an officer attempted to detain him, the suspect allegedly fled on foot.

Additional officers responded to the area and Riddlesperger was located a short distance away. The suspect was arrested and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody ineligible for bail on grand theft auto charges.
