Woman Arrested After Allegedly Hitting Elk Grove Police Officer

A Sacramento woman stopped for a traffic violation Friday morning was arrested after she allegedly hit a police officer.

According to Elk Grove Police, 33-year old Stacy Webb was stopped for a traffic violation near Laguna Boulevard and Old Creek Drive. After being ticketed, the suspect reportedly quickly drove away and was once again stopped.

During the second encounter Webb was advised she would receive another ticket and her car would be towed away. The suspect reportedly started yelling at the officer and hit him in the chest and face with her index finger extended.  

Webb was taken to the the ground, handcuffed, arrested and taken to the county jail.
