According to Economic Interest Statements filed with the Elk Grove City Clerk's office, at least one member of the Elk Grove City Council is a millionaire.

The legally required annual statements show that Council Member Bob Trigg owns several assets that have a minimum value of $1,220,000 as of December 31, 2013. Trigg's list, which does not include any real property, shows 23 separate assets including mutual funds, bond funds and individual stocks.

Trigg lists 11 of the assets of having a value of between $100,001 and $1,000,000 and the balance are valued between $10,001 and $100,000. The $1.2 million noted above is based on valuing each of the listed assets at the minimum value and the actual value of Trigg's assets could be substantially higher.

Could there be some who are skirting the rules and not being totally upfront? I'm thinkin' that may be the case.

Mr. Trigg may be asleep at the wheel on the dais, but no doubt he has been enriched working as an educator. And they always say how little educators make!
