Elk Grove Woman Allegedly Flees Accident, Arrested For DUI

An Elk Grove woman was arrested Friday night after allegedly fleeing the scene of a vehicle accident and being intoxicated.

According to Elk Grove Police, 36-year old Josie Christ was in a vehicle accident near the 8200 block of Laguna Boulevard and did not stop to exchange information. Officers responded to the area and located the suspect driving the described vehicle a short distance away from the collision scene. 

A vehicle stop was conducted and upon contact, Christ displayed objective signs of impairment. The suspect's juvenile children were also in the vehicle. 

Christ performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested. The children were released to a relative.
