11:05 p.m. Elk Grove Police have detained three men in the 5000 block of Fox Trotter Way related to the shooting on Dartmoor Court.
Elk Grove Police are searching for two shooting suspects this evening.
The shooting occurred on the 9800 block of Dartmoor Way on the city's west side. The shooting victim has been taken to an area hospital with several gunshot wounds.
The two suspects described as black males approx. 18-20 years of age, wearing dark clothing who fled on foot. CHP helicopter is assisting in search.
According to Elk Grove Police spokesman Officer Christopher Trim, officers responded at 8:27 p.m. to a report of a shooting. Responding officers found a male with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
There is currently no information on the age or condition of the victim. The victim was reportedly standing near a vehicle when he was shot.
