A Sacramento man was arrested late last night after he walked away from a vehicle accident he was allegedly involved in.
According to Elk Grove Police, 58-year old Gaspar Dominquez was involved in a car accident at Bond and Elk Grove-Florin roads. After the collision, Dominguez walked away from the scene.
A CHP officer who was nearby on a traffic stop detained the suspect a short distance away from the scene. Upon contact, Dominquez displayed objective signs of impairment, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.
The occupants in the other involved vehicle suffered minor injuries.
