The Elk Grove Police Department is hosting a workshop for Elk Grove business owners holding a liquor license and their employees to attend a free seminar presented by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 8400 Laguna Palms Way (Council Chambers).

The LEAD training - Licensee Education on Alcohol and Drugs - is a free, voluntary prevention and education program for retail licensees, their employees and applicants. The training will focus on the best practices and procedures for checking identifications, refusing service, preventing illicit drug activity and more. The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control will also provide updates on current alcohol laws along with additional facts concerning criminal, civil and ABC liability.

If you would like to attend, please or call or email Officer Jorge Benitez at (916) 478-8125 (jbenitez@elkgrovepd.org) to reserve a space. On the day of training, please bring a copy of your ABC license and arrive early.

This project is part of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s Minor Decoy/Shoulder Tap Grant Project, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
