Stockton Man Beats Victim Unconscious at Elk Grove House Party

A Stockton man is in custody after he allegedly beat a man unconscious Sunday night.

According to Elk Grove Police, 31-year old Samuel Askey was at a house party on the 9000 block of Riverview Court when he struck his 32-year old victim. After the victim fell, Askey allegedly mounted and punched him several times in the face until he was unconscious.

Askey fled the scene and was located several miles away and is being held at the county jail on a $50,000 bail. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
