With the November 4 general election just days away, the four Elk Grove City Council candidates seeking Elk Grove City Council District 4 seat have accepted an invitation to make an audio recording stating their reasons why they should be elected.
Below are the recorded statements of Nancy Chaires, Steve Ly, Nayyar Sarfaraz and Daniel Jimenez. EGN thanks each of the candidates for participating in this exercise so that Elk Grove voters can make an informed decision when they vote for our newest council member.
The audios are posted in the order in which they were received.

CHAIRES! CHAIRES! CHAIRES!
From the movie, "Inside Man", "All evils stink, you can hide it, you can bury it but they don't go away, they will always find a way to come out."
Dan, thank you for posting this. Candidates, thank you for sharing your point of view. I heard quality of life is an issue. I believe with that said that as candidates the meeting on The Whitelock interchange and impacts to elk grove park would have been an important meeting to attend. I was there and missed seeing you all. I would have liked to see you all at the city council meetings. Are you aware the city is going to take a loan out to pay for the infrastructure in the SEPA area? This was on the last council agenda. Are you aware that competing with jobs in the region has not fared well for us? We paid state jobs to come. Are you aware that still within this region we are not considered "business friendly". Quality of Life is very important. I look forward to the newly elected councilperson's vision and plan.
