Yesterday, many Elk Grove voters received a sample ballot and voter information pamphlet. Among the numerous candidate statements in the guide, were three of four of the Elk Grove City Council District 4 candidates.
Below are official statements from Nancy Chaires, Daniel Jimenez and Steve Ly. Nayyar Sarfaraz did not submit a statement.

It is obvious that Mr. Ly is a wee bit confused. He speaks of working with the EGUSD and "I" balanced the budget....really, HE did that?
Mr. Ly, city council members have nothing to do with the school district, remember...that is the position you are choosing to leave before your term expires. The one you promised the parents and students was your desire to serve. Weell, you did not keep your word so why should I trust you to be a good steward of our city? You speak out of both sides of your mouth.
A Mayor Davis endorsement carries no weight with this taxpayer, actually works against you. If you can't run on your own record, then step aside. Kinda like a cork floating around out there trying to find his way....have enough of those seated at the dias now!
