Two unknown shoplifters upped the ante in the increasingly aggressive physical behavior retail store employees have been subjected to in Elk Grove.

According to Elk Grove Police, late yesterday afternoon two unknown female suspects were observed shoplifting at the Old Navy store on West Stockton Boulevard and exited the store without paying for the merchandise.  When loss prevention employees approached the shoplifters, the suspects quickly got in a vehicle, then  backed the vehicle into one of the employees and hit him in the leg.

The suspects fled in the same vehicle and responding officers were unable to locate them. The duo were described as black female adults in their 20's.

The employee suffered a minor injury. In several previous Elk Grove shoplifting incidents, store employees have been repeatedly attacked with pepper spray by shoplifters.

The crimes are getting pretty ghetto over there.

Makes me want to apply for a concealed weapon permit for self defense; to defend myself and my family.
