Elk Grove Police to Ramp-up Holiday DUI Enforcement; Checkpoints Start Tonight

Elk Grove Police announced this week there will be increased DUI enforcement and checkpoints now through January 4, 2015.

As part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement, additional patrol units will be scheduled throughout the city and regionally. Also participating in the program will be the Sheriff's Department, CHP and other city police departments.

The first DUI and license check will be conducted tonight at an undisclosed location in Elk Grove from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m Saturday. Another check is also planned for Friday, December 19 within city limits.
