Elk Grove Police Arrest Suspect For Impaired Driving, Concealed Weapons Charges

A Sacramento man is in custody at the county jail after he allegedly was found driving impaired.

According to Elk Grove Police, 18-year old Hetzuar Miguel Dorantes-Cruz was operating a vehicle on the 9100 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. When contacted by officers, the suspect allegedly appeared impaired and failed a field sobriety test.

A search of the suspect led to the discovery of a loaded handgun registered to another owner. Dorantes-Cruz was arrested and is being held on a $10,000 bail.
