Elk Grove Police Arrests DUI Suspects, Find Open Booze in Cars

In two separate incidents yesterday, Elk Grove Police arrested suspects who reportedly had open alcohol in their vehicles.

In the first incident, police report that 31-year old Ashwini Prakash of Sacramento was contacted yesterday afternoon at a gas station on the 8100 block of the Elk Grove Boulevard. Upon contact Prakash  allegedly had an open container of an alcoholic beverage in her car. 

After failing  her field sobriety test, Prakash was arrested and booked into the county jail. She has been released in bail.

Also arrested last night was 48-year old Lando Brooks of Elk Grove after she failed a field sobriety test and was found to have two open alcohol containers in the vehicle. Brooks was arrested, booked into the county jail and has been released on bail.
