Elk Grove Bicyclist Threatened With Knives, Robbed by Three Assailants

December 19, 2015 |

An Elk Grove bicyclist was robbed and threatened at knife point by three assailants early Thursday evening.

According to Elk Grove Police, the 22-year old male victim was riding his bicycle near Franklin Boulevard and Laguna Park Drive on the city's west side when he was approached by a white four door vehicle occupied by three unknown suspects. The vehicle drove past the victim when two of the suspects exited the vehicle wielding knives, approached the victim, and told him to empty out his pockets.

One of the suspects grabbed the victim's left arm and pulled him towards the vehicle. The driver of the car threatened the victim, and he heard a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot come from the vehicle but did not see a gun.

The victim complied and gave the suspects his wallet, cell phone and cash. The two knive wielding suspects were described as Black male adults with dreads while the driver was described as a heavy set Hispanic or Asian male adult. The victim was not injured during the robbery.
