Elk Grove Police Identify Suspect in Hover Board Robbery, Baseball Bat Assault

Jourdan Ware wanted for assault and robbery

UPDATE: Suspect surrendered himself this evening at the Sacramento County Sheriff's Main Jail.

The Elk Grove Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a man who is suspected of a robbery and assault that resulted in the hospitalization of the victim.

According to police reports, a felony warrant has been issued on 18-year old Jourdan Ware for his alleged robbery and assault on Thursday, December 3. In that incident two brothers aged 18 and 17 met with Ware and two other individuals on the 6300 block of Castro Verde Way to sell a hover board.
  
After showing the boards to the suspects, one victim was hit in the head with a baseball bat. The hover boards were grabbed from the trunk of the victim’s vehicle and the suspects fled on foot. 

One victim required medical care for his injuries and was treated at a local area hospital where he stayed overnight until released the next day. During the course of the investigation, detectives positively identified Ware (see attached photo) as an involved suspect with two additional suspects still outstanding. 

A felony warrant in the amount of $50,000 has been issued for Ware’s arrest for his involvement in a felony assault with a baseball bat and two counts forcible robbery. Ware is an 18 year old black male, 6’-1” tall, 185 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. 

Ware’s whereabouts are unknown and he is believed to be hiding with friends. Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443- HELP (443-4357).

Hope the baseball bat attacker gets bitten in the groin by the K-9 officer.

Need to spay him before he breeds.
