Five Suspects Arrested in Alleged Elk Grove Fight Involving Gunshots, Bats, Crowbars

Elk Grove Police arrested five suspects involved in a Saturday afternoon fight that reportedly included gunshots.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the 8200 block of Bernay Way on the city's north side regarding a disturbance involving several people. During the altercation, the five suspects, all Sacramento residents, became aggressive and armed themselves with weapons including a baseball bat and crowbar which they used against the victims. 

Before leaving the scene, 26-year old James Stewart allegedly fired at least one round into the air from a handgun. Another suspect, 29-year old John Stewart was taken into custody with the assistance on an EGPD K-9. The three other suspects, 27-year old Terrell Glynn, 27-year old Airriol Steward, and 35-year old Latasha Marshall were located and arrested for their allegedly involvement in the fight.

All five were booked into the county jail with John Stewart and Latasha Marshall in custody ineligible for release on assault with a deadly weapon charges; Airriol Stewart in custody ineligible for release on a recommitment warrant; and  Terrell Glynn in custody on a $95,000 bail for assault with a deadly weapon charge. James Stewart has been released.
