Elk Grove Police Arrests Seven Suspects in Marijuana Grow Houses, Over 3,300 Plants Found

Elk Grove Police's Street Crime Unit arrested seven suspects Tuesday morning in a grow operation that led to the discovery of over 3,300 marijuana plants.
Shortly after 6 a.m., eight search warrants were issued and served on two locations in Elk Grove and Sacramento involved in an active residential marijuana growing operation. During the search, detectives recovered over 3,300 marijuana plants, a quarter pound of processed marijuana, indicia of sales and over $18,000.
At one of the locations, which was an active indoor marijuana grow operation, two children were present and living inside the residence. Both children were taken into protective custody by Child Protective Services.
The following suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail:
- Kuei Pan, 53
- Sun-Cheng Gan, 60
- Annie Hong, 54
- Wenquiang Pan, 31
- Jiaban Huang, 50
- Junsong Chen, 40
- Chundi Yang, 30
All of the suspects are being held bail of $500,000 facing a variety of felony charges but are eligible for release. Arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
