Instead of attending class, two Elk Grove juveniles were arrested following an attempted residential burglary.

Yesterday afternoon at 12:30 Elk Grove Police were dispatched to the 8900 block of Serraville Way in North Laguna regarding an in-progress burglary. The homeowner was present when two male juveniles ages 15 and 16 entered the backyard and opened a real sliding door to make entry.

Both suspects fled after hearing the resident inside. Responding officers located and detained the two suspects a short distance away.

The juveniles were taken into custody and transported to juvenile hall. Both suspects are charged with burglary and conspiracy.
