Elk Grove Probationer Suspected of Car Theft, Drug Possession

An Elk Grove man is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after he allegedly was seen driving a stolen vehicle.



Late yesterday morning Elk Grove Police observed 26-year old William Patrick Greenhagen (pictured above) operating a vehicle on the 8400 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road that was reported stolen. Officers stopped Grenhagen and after detaining him it was confirmed the car had been reported stolen, the suspect was on probation and a vehicle search led to the discovery of narcotics. 

Greenhagen was booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on a $40,000 bail facing one misdemeanor drug charge and felony charges of violating probation and car theft. Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
