Parolee Stopped by Elk Grove Police, Found in Possession of Stolen Blank Checks

May 31, 2016 |

An Elk Grove parolee is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail on a $530,000 bail after a Friday night traffic stop.

The suspect, 24-year old Justin Doerner (pictured above) was operating a vehicle on the 9600 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed that Doerner was on parole.

A vehicle search led to the discovery of  multiple completed and uncompleted checks not in the suspect's name. An additional search of Doerner's residence led to the discovery of additional checks not belonging to him.

Doerner was booked into the county jail where he is charged with four fraud felonies and violating his parole. He is not eligible for release and arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
