Elk Grove Man Arrested on Suspicion of Stalking Female Victim

An Elk Grove man was arrested yesterday afternoon after he allegedly confronted a woman at her workplace. 

Elk Grove Police report that over the last several weeks 20-year old Terreal Gilmer has allegedly been showing up at his victim's place of employment on the 8400 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road and had attempted to contact her via social media. The victim does not know Gilmer.

Yesterday Gilmer allegedly confronted the female victim at her work and held her against her will. The suspect followed the victim to an employee-only area and was involved in an altercation with several co-workers.

The employees detained Gilmer and responding officers arrested him under California Penal Code 646.9(a) - stalking. The suspect has been released on bail.
