City of Elk Grove, Cosumnes CSD to Hold Joint Grand Opening of City's Newest Park

On Thursday, August 11 the City of Elk Grove and the Cosumnes Community Services District will hold a joint grand opening ceremony for the community's newest park, Horseshoe Park.

As its name suggests, the new 9.1-acre park located at Denali Circle will be Western themed. Along with typical amenities, the park will feature horseshoe pits, adult fitness equipment, two playgrounds, a sprayground, jogging loop trail, tennis courts and shaded picnic areas with barbecues.

Opening festivities will include a brief opening ceremony, complimentary snow cones, games and music by the Slade Rivers Band. Horseshoe Park is the 94th park constructed in Elk Grove and one of 7 parks developed through a partnership between the City and Cosumnes CSD.

Next Thursday's festivities will start at 6 p.m.
