Elk Grove Man Arrested For Allegedly Ramming Vehicle, Domestic Violence

August 5, 2016 |

An Elk Grove man is in custody today after he allegedly rammed a vehicle that his domestic violence victim was attempting to flee in.

The suspect, 27-year old Kyle Kenneth Cole (pictured above) was involved in an altercation with his victim yesterday morning where he pulled the victim's hair. A friend arrived to help the victim flee, and when the victim got into the vehicle to drive away, Cole allegedly got into his own vehicle then intentionally collided with the victims vehicle several times.

As the victims attempted to drive away, Cole pursued them through several residential areas. Cole reportedly intentionally collided with the victims several times.

At one point Cole side swiped the victims vehicle causing the driver to lose control and collide into a brick wall. Before he drove away, Cole allegedly threatened the driver.

An Elk Grove Police Officer observed Cole's vehicle fleeing at a high rate of speed a short distance away and conducted a vehicle stop. Cole was contacted and detained.

Officers were able to determine that Cole was responsible for the above listed crimes and he was arrested and booked into the county jail. The victims suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collisions and were transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.

Cole is being held on one misdemeanor and four felony charges but is not eligible for bail because of a parole violation. Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, August 8 at 1:30 p.m.
