iPhones Stolen at Gunpoint in Late Night Elk Grove Robbery

A late-night meeting of what was thought to be the sale of two iPhones in Elk Grove turned into an armed robbery.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, the seller agreed to meet someone near Portofino Drive and Sardinia Court to sell two of the devices. When the suspect arrived, the victim walked to his vehicle and handed over the two iPhones for inspection.

The suspect handed the phones to a passenger in the vehicle. After receiving the phones, the suspect pulled out a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the seller, threatened him and drove away in a white vehicle.

The victim feared for his safety and did not pursue the suspect who was described as a Black male adult, 6’0”, 150 lbs., with dreadlocks and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
