Stafford, Suen to Hold Elk Grove Campaign Kick-off Events

This weekend candidates for Elk Grove Mayor and City Council will hold campaign kick-off events.

Elk Grove Mayoral candidate Tracie Stafford will kick-off her campaign with a supporters rally followed by a precinct walk. Stafford's event will be held at Lewis Park, 9615 Black Swan Drive.

Following the precinct walk, Stafford will hold a meet and greet between noon and 2 p.m. at Olde Town Pizza, 9677 Elk Grove-Florin Road. Stafford is one of seven candidates seeking to replace outgoing Mayor Gary Davis.

Elk Grove City Councilman Darren Suen will also hold his campaign kick-off event this Saturday morning at his campaign office located at 9290 West Stockton Blvd., Suite 102. Suen's event will start at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a precinct walk and phone bank.

Suen, who was appointed to the District 1 seat in 2014, is seeking a four-year term and has one opponent.
