Elk Grove Bank Robbed, Suspect Flees on Foot

A bank on Elk Grove's far north side was robbed yesterday by an unknown suspect.

On Wednesday, October 12 at 10:26 a.m. a man entered the Bank of the West branch on Elk Grove-Florin and Calvine Roads and presented a note to a teller demanding cash and indicated he was armed. Although not firearm was seen, the teller complied with the demands and complied with the suspects demands.

After receiving the cash, the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The suspect was described as a black male adult, in his 40’s, 5’7”, 180 lbs., wearing a black wig, sunglasses, a beige sweater dress with a red vest and a light colored purse.

No video or surveillance images have been released.
