Elk Grove Issues Traffic Advisory, Detour Notice For Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

With this Thursday's annual Turkey Trot charity event, the City of Elk Grove has issued a detour notice and traffic advisory.

To accommodate the event, road closures and alternative routes around the event have been set up between the hours of 6 and 11 a.m. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Street Closures and Detours for Thursday, November 24:

·         Both directions of Longleaf Drive will be closed from 6 to 11 a.m.  Use Laguna or Elk Grove Boulevards as alternate routes.

·         Eastbound Laguna Blvd will be closed at Laguna Springs Drive from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

·         Southbound Laguna Springs at Laguna Blvd. will be closed from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

·         Eastbound Bond Road at Highway 99 will be closed from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

·         Northbound Highway 99 Bond Road off-ramp will be closed from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

·         Both directions of East Stockton Boulevard between Bond Road and Emerald Vista Drive will be closed at 8 a.m.

·         Northbound Williamson Drive will be closed for local traffic only during the run.

·         All neighborhood traffic east of Highway 99  south of Bond Road and North of Elk Grove Blvd. within the run route will be controlled for local traffic only.
