Probationer Arrested by Elk Grove Police, Allegedly Trying to Pass Fake Cash

An Elk Grove woman is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after she allegedly violated her probation and tried passing counterfeit money.

On the morning of Friday, November 18, 34-year old Tuyet Pham (pictured above)  reportedly attempted to purchase merchandise at the Walgreens on the 7200 block of Laguna Boulevard with a counterfeit $100 bill. After being contacted, Elk Grove Police detained Pham and discovered she had an active arrest warrant with a bail amount of $35,000 from Placer County.

A search of Pham led to the discovery of a controlled substance and another counterfeit bill. Pham was booked into the county jail where she faces two misdemeanor and two felony charges, one of which is from Placer County. Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22.
