Benicia Police Recover $25k in Stolen Jewelry, Arrests Suspect in Possession of Heroin

Benicia, Calif - Benicia Police arrested a suspect who allegedly stole jewelry valued at over $25,000. 

The stolen jewelry was found last weekend after an investigation led police to Gilberto Upton. 25, of Benicia. After contacting Upton, officers searched his vehicle and discovered the reported stolen jewelry and a stolen credit card which were all identified as belong to the victim.

During their search Upton was also allegedly found to be in possession of heroin. Upton was arrested and booked in the Solano County Jail and the victim recovered all the stolen goods.
