Probationer Stopped by Elk Grove Police, Arrested For Possession of Handgun

A late afternoon search of probationer led to his arrest this weekend.

On Saturday, June 10, Elk Grove Police stopped a vehicle being driven by Kong Xiong, 23, of Sacramento who was known to be on probation. After verifying Xiong was on probation, officers conducted a vehicle search.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded handgun in the center console. Xiong was arrested for violation of his probation but was released from custody.
