Armed Gunman Attempts Robbing Woman at Elk Grove park

Two people who were walking near an Elk Grove park were victims of an attempted armed robbery.

In the early evening of Wednesday, August 9, the female victim and a companion were were walking towards Strong Park on Baypoint Way in east Elk Grove when two unknown suspects approached them. The suspects demanded the female victim to turn over personal property. 

One of the suspects lifted up his shirt to reveal the handle of what appeared to be a handgun. Instead of complying, the victim and her accomplice fled on foot as did the suspects in an unknown direction.

The suspects were described as a Black male adult 5’8”, 120 lbs, wearing a black shirt and blue jean shorts; and a Black male juvenile, 5’6”, 150 lbs., wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
