Film critic and regular Elk Grove News contributor Gary Chew has released his list of the top 10 movies for 2017. 

Gary is still waiting to see three news films for 2017, so with that in mind ... here are ten other films that released this year that were worth his time.

3. Lady Bird
4. The Only Living Boy In New York City
5. The Lovers
6. Their Finest
7. The Zookeeper's Wife
8. A Ghost Story
9. A Cure For Wellness  (Released in the U-S, February 2017 .... in Germany, 2016.)
10. The Big Sick

Those three movies not yet showing up for Gary to see are:  The Post ... Phantom Thread ... and ... Call Me By Your Name, which opened over a month ago.
