Teen suspected of impaired driving, placed in custody by Elk Grove Police after leaving accident scene

A teenage driver was taken into custody after being apprehended by Elk Grove Police.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, a vehicle driven by a 17-year old female was involved in a accident with a parked car near Harvest Park Drive and Orchard Hill Way. After hitting the car, the suspect fled.

Police located the suspect in a nearby neighborhood. Upon contact, she displayed objective signs of impairment and was taken into custody.
