Podcast - Yes on Prop 6 supporters accuse CALTRANS, contractor of criminal conduct in opposition to ballot measure

In a press conference held today, proponents of Proposition 6 have accused CALTRANS and a contractor of criminal activity as it relates to their opposition to the measure that will appear on this November's statewide ballot.

In a telephone news conference organized by Yes on Proposition 6, chairman Carl DeMaio laid out the accusations against CALTRANS and a contractor saying both were involved in illegal governmental campaigning.

At the center of their complaint is that CALTRANS used a primary contractor to unnecessarily stop traffic in San Diego County for the purpose of passing out flyers in opposition to the proposition. The complaints have been filed with the California Fair Political Practices Commission, the San Diego County District Attorney, and the California Highway Patrol.

An official statement from CALTRANS regarding the accusations was not immediately available.
