Suspects posing as car seller rob victim of cash at gunpoint in Elk Grove

Two men who were posing as the sellers of a car robbed the victim at gunpoint in Elk Grove on the evening of Friday, August 31.

The victim who believed he was buying a used car, met the supposed seller on the 8800 block of Shasta Lily Drive on the city's north side. While inside the supposed car for sale, another suspect outside the vehicle approached the victim with a firearm, pointed it at the victim and demanded his cash. 

After taking the cash, the suspects fled in the decoy car for sale which was an unnamed beige 2015 sedan. 

The suspect posing as the seller was was described as an African American male, 30 to 35 years old, 6’0 tall, 170 lbs., wearing a blue hat and white t-shirt. The gunman, was described as an African American male, 30 years old, 6’0 tall, 160 lbs., wearing a black mask and a black jacket.
