A shopper returning to their car had their purse snatched at an Elk Grove shopping center.
Just after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, the female victim was returning to her car at the Market Place 99 shopping center on East Stockton Boulevard when a vehicle described as a dark SUV approached her. A passenger exited the SUV and forcefully stole the purse.
The thief, described as a Black female adult, thin, approximately 5' 6" wearing white jeans and a black sweater, got back in the SUV which then fled the area. No description of the driver of the getaway vehicle was established.
