Motorcyclist flees traffic stop at 100 m.p.h, held on $615,000 bail

A motorcyclist who tried to avoid arrest was taken into custody after leading police on a high-speed pursuit.

Just minutes after midnight on Monday, November 26, Galt Police conducted a traffic stop on the 800 block of North Lincoln Way in Galt. Instead of complying with officers, the motorcyclist, Joshua Ryan Woodworth, 29, fled the scene and led the police on speeds in excess of 100 m.p.h.

Police were able to stop Woodward near Highway 99 and Crystal Way. Woodworth was taken into custody and is held at the Sacramento County Jail on a $615,000 bail with arraignment on Wednesday, November 28.
