Suspect in double Elk Grove stabbing arrested on attempted murder charges

A man suspected of stabbing two people in an early evening incident is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail on attempted murder charges.
Elk Grove Police arrested Eric Andrew Mauck, 24, of Elk Grove shortly after the incident where he allegedly stabbed an adult male and female just before 7 p.m. on Friday, April 19. The stabbing took place in front of a residence on Dantley Court on the east side of Elk Grove.
After police located the victims and waited for medical treatment, officers found Mauck driving his vehicle in the vicinity of the stabbing. Emergency personnel took the victims to a nearby hospital for treatment, and their medical status is not known.
Mauck is not eligible for bail and will be arraigned on Tuesday, April 23.
