Package theft suspect arrested by Elk Grove Police, aided by surveilance video

With the help of images captured by a video surveillance camera, Elk Grove Police arrested a suspect connected to a May 29 package theft.
That suspect, Jason Drake Baughman, 36, of Rancho Cordova was arrested yesterday after detectives from the Elk Grove Police's property unit were able to locate his vehicle that appeared in the video. When arrested on Tuesday, June 19, Baughman was reportedly driving the car seen in the video in the Orangevale area.
Baughman is on probation, and along with the theft charges, in possession of methamphetamine and narcotic paraphernalia. Arraignment is on Thursday, June 20 and is not eligible for bail.
