Suspected drunk driver hits three pedestrians, arrested by Elk Grove Police

A Roseville woman is held on three felony charges at the Sacramento County Jail after she allegedly hit three pedestrians with her vehicle in rural Elk Grove.
Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 Maria Ruiz, 22, was operating a vehicle on Wilton Road when she allegedly was involved in a collision with three pedestrians. After hitting the pedestrians, Ruiz reportedly fled without stopping but was located a short distance away by a CHP officer.
All three pedestrians were treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Ruiz displayed objective signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.
Ruiz will be arraigned on Tuesday, July 2.
