3 suspects arrested in South Sacramento drive-by murder




Three suspects wanted in connection to a South Sacramento murder have been arrested by Sacramento County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives.

The three suspects, Jorge Vasquez, 23, (above right) of Sacramento and Roberto Ferrusca, 19 of Sacramento were arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges related to this Thursday, October 18 murder of  18-year-old Timothy McGinnis. A 17-year-old female juvenile was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall.

Just after 11:45 p.m. on Thursday Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a male shot in a vehicle in the 8200 block of Andalusian Drive in South Sacramento. Upon arrival, deputies located a blue SUV with a male in the driver’s seat suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three additional males were with the victim at the time of the shooting and indicated the driver lost control of the vehicle after he was shot. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a SMUD power box in front of a residence on Andalusian Drive.
Arraignment is on Tuesday, October 22.
